The Position 

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with mobile app development experience to join our team building our next generation mobile user experience. Multiple years of commercial iOS and Android development experience with hybrid (React Native) and native frameworks and the desire to provide technical leadership to other engineers is a must.

Our Software Engineers in mobile work closely with our Technical Leads to implement the design, construction, documentation, maintenance, operation, and scale of our software’s customer-facing user experience (mobile and web), backend, and APIs (we are a full-stack team!). You are hands-on in the code and utilize your knowledge and skills to help your team bake automation, quality, reliability, scalability, and simplicity into everything they do. You are guided by utilizing modern DevOps and SRE practices. You are growing your technical leadership skills, regularly uplevel your teammates, and work closely with engineering and product leaders, customer support, and the rest of Swoogo to build the right features and ensure our customers are successful with their events!

We are a globally distributed company and product team. You know how important it is to communicate clearly, build strong connections with your team and the organization as a whole, and maintain a strong culture of writing things down and working asynchronously.

Your Qualifications

Must-have:

• 5+ years shipping commercial mobile applications that complement modern SaaS production software with robust engineering teams using current hybrid frameworks (React Native) as well as native tooling for iOS and Android.
• Knowledge of full-stack software engineering principles (including those necessary for high quality, performance, and reliability)
• Experience utilizing public cloud services (AWS)
• Collaborative and able to successfully work with cross-functional agile teams 

Nice-to-have:

• A degree (BS/BA) in a STEM field
• Experience with Redux and Expo.dev
• Experience on a SaaS-oriented product team that follows modern DevOps practices a plus
