Senior Software Engineer I, Full Stack - Resource Management (Remote Eligible)

Resource Management by Smartsheet is looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our Engineering team. The Resource Planning pillar delivers integrated people profile, capacity, scheduling, and time reporting capabilities that enable operational managers to confidently schedule the right resources on the right things at the right time, so that organizations can unlock the potential of their people.

Engineers on the Resource Management Team work collaboratively. Our teams include technical experts, product experts, designers, user experience researchers, and customer support. In cross-functional units, we develop products focused on solving customer problems. We use a service-oriented architecture (SOA) to build quality software at enterprise scale. In this role, you will develop skills in distributed systems design, cloud architecture, and service operations.

This position will report to the Manager of Engineering and can be based remotely from anywhere within the United States where Smartsheet is a registered employer.

You Will:

  • Work on all areas of the software from front end, back end, cloud infrastructure and test automation.
  • Actively mentor more junior engineers on balancing customer delivery while holding high coding, service, and cloud infrastructure standards.
  • Contribute in all aspects of product development: idea generation, customer engagement, planning, design, prototyping, execution, shipping, and operational excellence.
  • Take part in code reviews and architectural designs as you work with other software engineers, UX designers and product managers
  • Develop modular, maintainable components for the next generation of applications (React, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS)
  • Maintain a high level of operational excellence focusing on application and infrastructure scalability, reliability, and performance.

You Have:

  • 5+ years software development experience
  • 2+ years experience in SaaS application development
  • Experience with modern web technologies, front-end frameworks and integrating with back-end services
  • Experience building and deploying web applications at scale. 
  • Legal eligibility to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis
  • BS in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent industry experience

Smartsheet provides a competitive range of compensation for roles that may be hired in different geographic areas we are licensed to operate our business from. Actual compensation is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, level of professional, educational experience, skills, and specific candidate location. In addition, this role will be eligible for a market competitive bonus and RSU stock grant upon accepted offer. California & New York: $145,800 to $210,600 | All other US States: $135,000 to $195,000
