About the Team:
STR’s Analytics Division develops novel technologies to solve challenging national security problems through advanced analytics. Our team consists of passionate and motivated individuals with degrees in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, and data science. We use our expertise and creativity to take innovative ideas from conception to mature implementation in order to improve mission success of our customers.
The Analysis and Decisions Systems (ADS) Group in the Analytics Division works to help humans make the best decisions they can. By leveraging expertise with machine learning, advanced algorithms, and software development best practices, we build tools that can make a difference in mission planning, autonomous systems reasoning, tracking of illicit activities, and more.
The Role:
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will work as part of a tightly knit team to design, develop, implement, and demonstrate advanced algorithms and software systems. You will provide technical leadership and mentoring on programs working throughout the software lifecycle, from early prototypes to integrated systems. Your work will include a diverse set of applications, including software for distributed mission planning for both manned and unmanned platforms and novel data visualizations to provide decision support to human analysts/planners. This role requires a current security clearance, though applicants with recent clearances will also be considered.
This role allows for a hybrid schedule. Work will take place both on site at a customer facility in San Diego and remotely/ from home as directed by business need.
