WHY CONTENT SAFETY?

As a Senior Software Engineer, Computer Vision - Content Safety, you'll build systems to ensure that user-generated content across Roblox is safe and civil, including images, experiences, and much more. You'll work on some of the most challenging problems we face, from inappropriate images to exploitative 3D models to misleading 3D experiences. Safety and Civility is Roblox's #1 priority, and our mission is to protect our community. You will report to an engineering leader on our Content Safety Team.

You Will:

  • Build systems to detect and address problematic content on Roblox, using Computer Vision. You will work on backend services working on high scale, and ML models to detect unsafe content.
  • Define and build platform features to support product teams across the company in ensuring safety in every part of Roblox.
  • Shape how the next generation of internet users interacts safely in the metaverse

You Have:

  • 4+ years of experience in software development
  • 4+ years of experience building and shipping products to production
  • 2+ years of experience developing large-scale customer-facing user experiences.
  • 2+ years experience shipping scaled ML and Computer Vision models in production.
For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.  All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits.
Annual Salary Range
$175,100$233,840 USD
