The role:
Zenysis is seeking a Senior Program Officer to support the Rwanda Health Analytics Platform (RHAP) project. RHAP is a Zenysis analytics platform implemented to assist users make informed decisions on national health programs. The Senior Project Officer (SPO) will be responsible for managing projects with top-down oversight to ensure success by adhering to scope, budget, and timeline. S/he will oversee the administrative, contractual, financial, and logistical aspects of all projects implemented by Zenysis in Rwanda, including the management of Zenysis’ sub-contract under the U.S Agency for International Development (USAID).
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets ensuring they align with USAID and program goals and objectives.
- Coordinate and lead project activities including meetings, trainings, and workshops with government counterparts, partners, and other stakeholders at the country level.
- Lead the writing, formatting, and editing of all documents, including quarterly and annual reports, ensuring USAID (or other donor) branding and high-quality visuals are incorporated.
- Ensure effective communication and coordination between project teams, partners, and stakeholders and serve as the primary point of contact for the project.
- Maintain project monitoring and evaluation and use of data to inform program decisions.
- Oversee the integration of data from various sources including programmatic data, survey data, and data from other partners.
- Work with the project team to ensure data is being used to inform program decisions.
- Ensure compliance with USAID rules and regulations.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local partners, including government agencies, NGOs, and private sector organizations to support program implementation and sustainability.
- Contribute to the identification and development of new and/or scaling of current projects and initiatives.
- Identify and address issues that may impact the successful implementation of the project and work with the project team to develop and implement corrective actions.
- Represent the project and organization at relevant meetings, conferences, and other forums both within the country and internationally.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in public health, business, public administration, management, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in project management in the global health or development sector, including 2+ years of USAID donor experience.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and sustain interpersonal and professional relationships with USAID Mission, Government of Rwanda, implementing partners, and local NGOs.
- Knowledge and familiarity with USAID rules and regulations, monitoring and evaluation indicators, and related policies.
- Demonstrated budgeting and financial management skills.
- Experience working in communications and/or data visualization.
