Asimov is hiring a

Senior Marketing Manager

Boston, United States
Full-Time
Remote
Our mission at Asimov is to advance humanity's ability to design living systems, enabling biotechnologies with outsized benefit to society. We're developing a mammalian synthetic biology platform––from cells to software––to enable the design and manufacture of next-generation therapeutics.

We’re searching for a Senior Marketing Manager to help share our products with the world. As our first marketing hire, you’ll drive all of our marketing efforts spanning digital, field, and content marketing. Working alongside our Commercial team, your main goal will be to connect potential customers to Asimov’s products and services across both biologics and cell/gene therapy. This is an opportunity to be the go-to marketing person at a nimble, forward-thinking synthetic biology startup and help build the future of biological engineering.

About the role:

  • Your main mission will be to drive qualified leads for our biologics and viral vector platforms using a multi-channel approach.
  • You’ll plan and execute digital marketing campaigns spanning SEO, social media, and display advertising to raise brand awareness.
  • You’ll work closely with our BD and technical teams to develop and execute a content marketing strategy to establish Asimov as a thought leader in the biomanufacturing tools space and drive engagement.
  • You’ll define and maintain key performance metrics to measure business impact from all our demand generation activities.
  • You’ll develop Asimov’s conference strategy, including how we define and measure ROI for each event.
  • You'll identify and manage relationships with third party marketing agencies or consultants, you’ll expand the impact of our efforts across all channels.

About you:

  • You feel comfortable setting the strategy and then diving into the weeds. You’re able to roll up your sleeves and execute tactically across multiple campaigns and channels.
  • You're data-driven, highly quantitative and driven by ROI. You’re not afraid to dive deep to calculate the commercial impact of marketing initiatives, even when the data might be indirect or hard to access.
  • You have a BS/MS degree and 3+ years of experience working in a marketing role at a life sciences tools company.
  • You have a track record of driving qualified leads for enterprise accounts using multiple marketing channels.
  • Developing and managing a content calendar is something you've done before. You know the work that goes into project managing the work from start to finish.
  • You know your way around Salesforce and probably have a favorite marketing platform or two you like to use.
  • Collaborating by default, you incorporate feedback and input from the sales and technical team to improve our campaign outcomes.
  • You communicate easily across teams and levels; you are able to connect the dots and explain the “why” behind recommendations.
  • Don't let this stop you from applying but it will help you come up to speed more quickly if you have a background in marketing therapeutics biomanufacturing tools.

We're fueled by a vision to transform biological engineering into a fully-fledged engineering discipline. Should you join our team, you will grow with a constantly evolving organization and push the frontiers of synthetic biology. Company culture is key to Asimov, and ours is a culture of recombination; we believe that our mission can only be achieved by bringing together a diverse team with a mixture of backgrounds and perspectives.
