Senior Marketing Automation Specialist (SFMC)

Where does this role fit in?

You’ll work closely with our Marketing Automation Team, offering best in class solution guidance and delivery. This role is multi-faceted and fast-paced, involving a variety of client work from creating, delivering and monitoring campaigns, handling and manipulating data as well as working on project work outside of scope that will help to improve our current processes.

The work we are doing with Salesforce Marketing Cloud is very much at the high end of the suite, and as such, this role presents a fantastic opportunity to widen and develop your skills in this highly sought-after specialism.

In addition to the above, your responsibilities will also include:

  • Undertaking data segmentations and data analysis tasks
  • Building, developing and maintaining customer journeys
  • Email campaign setup and execution; planning work schedules to ensure agreed service levels are agreed
  • Communicate directly with other departments to ensure that expectations are managed accordingly, are met and be able to pro-actively provide solutions to any issues that may arise
  • Liaise with internal teams to ensure that data and HTML content will work together seamlessly and to clarify requirements and development needs
  • Set up, quality check and amend HTML to ensure that content is fit for broadcast
  • Test, modify, correct and ultimately handle and monitor the final broadcast
  • Pro-actively address any technical issues. Be able to problem solve and provide solutions to these issues


Essential Skills

We’re building a team of positive, proactive people, and for this role are looking for someone with the following skills and experience:

  • 2+ years client facing experience with a proven customer focused attitude and excellent interpersonal & communication skills.
  • Strong CRM and data driven digital marketing experience.
  • Competency in SQL
  • Technical literacy with familiarity in data processes and governance.
  • Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including Journey Builder and Email Studio, with bonus points for individuals with Mobile or Social Studio.
  • A strong knowledge of digital marketing industry standards and best practices with the ability to match client’s business requirements to product capabilities.
  • Knowledge of using other platforms such as Adobe Campaign, Oracle Eloqua, Silverpop and Smart Focus would be an advantage, although not essential as this role will focus on Salesforce Marketing Cloud
