About the role
The scope is focused on identifying and developing new growth opportunities (both inorganic and organic) in fields required for significant expansion and long-term success of Appier
Responsibilities
- Develop and critically appraise investment proposals (e.g., merger, acquisition, equity ownership, partnership), including but not limited to in-depth analyses of product strategy, value proposition, business plans, financial performance/modeling, due diligence, competitive positioning
- Present insights, recommendations and progresses to senior management
- Drive end-to-end deal process for merger and acquisition and support post-merger integration
- Build investment relationship, strategic partnership, and business network with start-ups, VC funds, universities, bankers and organizations
- Develop and write analytics reports on emerging technology and provide industry network connections that may provide strategic value to Appier
- Support external partners (e.g., startups) and internal teams in executing and realizing the strategic value of investment proposals
- Work closely and collaboratively with Appier cross-functional teams; and, build trust-based relationship with both internal and external stakeholders
Qualifications
[Essential]
- 5+ years of combined professional experience in investment management, investment banking, management consulting, corporate finance, venture capital, private equity and/or product management
- Adept at designing business models, market research, and financial modeling
- Good commercial understanding of startups, venture capital strategy and finance/accounting
- Strong sense of software product concept, value proposition and competitive differentiation
- Strong communication skills, able to present insightful, tangible and compelling strategic stories to executives
- Outstanding fluency in English and Mandarin Chinese is required
- Rigorous business acumen across all of the following areas, along with world-class depth in one or two: Merger and Acquisition, Marketing (Product or Brand), Product Development, Organizational Behavior/design, Operations, and Finance
- Ability to work collaboratively and flexibly as part of a team to achieve measurable results
