The Impact U will make:

• You will report to our Director of Threat Detection Engineering.
• Commit to your team’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion goals created in our DEI Unqork Application.
• Perform 1 day / week of alert monitoring & response, 3 days / week of engineering/investigations/hunt. (4 x 10 hr days)
• Perform 1 week of on call every 4 weeks.
• Use your in depth technical knowledge to support our Security Estate, as well as develop cutting edge countermeasures and detection models.
• Build and/or enhance automated tools to scale security in an operational environment.
• Maintain an offensive mindset while building and validating threat models.
• Create, test and implement countermeasures and data models in various languages (Sigma, Yara, ClamAV, WAF, Mod_Security, Python, Go)

What U bring:

• Understanding of countermeasures, detection methodologies, and adversary TTPs.
• Understanding of DFIR principles, as well as experience applying them practically.
• Practical experience writing Python, Terraform, Go, and other programming languages.
• Experience creating custom countermeasures, and tuning them throughout their lifecycle.
• Understanding of security threats, exploits, and prevention (NoSQL injection, XSS, CSRF, SSRF, Phishing, Process execution anomalies, etc.).
• Knowledge and experience using DFIR tools and SANS certifications are a bonus (GREM, GCIH, GCIA, etc.)

The US base salary range, across all Unqork US locations, for this full-time position is $90,000 - $154,300 + bonus + equity + perks/benefits. An individual employee’s salary within the range provided above depends on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the working location, role, skillset and level of experience of such employee. Please note that the salary range reflects the base salary only, and does not include bonus, equity or perks/benefits.
