The Opportunity

We are looking for an accomplished Senior Financial Reporting Manager to join our Global Finance team as part of our financial services business in Grand Cayman.

The Cayman Islands is home to our global headquarters and where the Maples Group first established operations in the 1960s. Since then we have grown to become one of the largest employers in Cayman, where colleagues from all over the world collaborate to deliver best-in-class solutions to clients worldwide. As part of our Cayman team you will:

 

  • work collaboratively with the CFO and HFR in formulating the strategy to drive financial reporting in alignment with global business strategy and direction;
  • be responsible for the delivery of various monthly and quarterly global financial reports to the Executive Management Committee and senior stakeholders globally;
  • lead the global annual budgeting process, coordinate all data sources and champion the budget software;
  • create reporting dashboards for agreed scope across the organisation;
  • ensure that all global financial data and reports are delivered with the highest degree of financial integrity and accuracy for multiple legal entities, including stand alone and consolidated structures;
  • participate in group projects/initiatives to support the growth and evolution of the business and/or play a critical role in finance related projects/initiatives such as global systems and reporting, including the creation of financial dashboards, as well as other ad-hoc analysis;
  • possess a natural proficiency for process and business analysis such that they can lead continuous improvements.

 

What You Bring

In addition to indisputably high ethical standards and autonomy, the ideal candidate possesses the following:

 

  • proven management skills relating to processes, work flows, training and development of the Financial Reporting team, which includes various levels of professionals;
  • must be highly organized, efficient, and have project management skills in order to lead planned initiatives;
  • possess and demonstrate strong professional judgement and think and plan strategically;
  • completed an internationally recognized accounting designation (e.g. CPA, ACA, ACMA or ACCA)
  • a minimum of eight years post-qualified experience, which will include five years of Big 4 audit experience, which would include managerial experience, and relevant industry experience with a leading professional company;
  • Experience working in and with different jurisdictions is essential;
  • Other key skills and competencies for the role include strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards and thorough.
