Position Summary

The Senior Director of Marketing is accountable for developing and implementing strategies that  maximize the commercial value of ARV-471 in breast cancer. This includes establishing launch capabilities for Arvinas’ first commercial product, contributing to longer term lifecycle strategies, implementing unbranded tactics to prepare the market, and branded tactics to differentiate ARV-471 from competitors. The Senior Director of Marketing must work alongside commercial peers from both Arvinas and Pfizer in a collaborative manner to drive launch readiness in a compliant manner that ensures a successful launch.  This position reports to the VP of Breast Cancer Marketing, is located at our headquarters in New Haven, CT and is eligible to work in a hybrid arrangement with travel to our headquarters as required by business needs.

This position reports to the VP of Breast Cancer Marketing, Commercial, and will have the option to work in a hybrid arrangement or be located near our headquarters in New Haven, CT.  Travel as needed for meetings/ conferences.

Principal Responsibilities

Key responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • ARV-471 Brand Leadership across the entire organization, which will require extensive cross-functional engagement
  • Development of a comprehensive brand strategy and tactical plan to maximize ARV-471
  • Development of differentiated positioning, messaging and creative campaigns.  Alignment of the entire organization around these aforementioned projects to drive consistency in execution
  • Plan and execute HCP, patient and digital tactics aligned to the brand’s strategic imperatives
  • Plan and execute advisory boards, in partnership with medical, to generate insights
  • Plan and execute Congress activities to support Arvinas corporate objectives and ARV-471 brand objectives
  • Budget and vendor management to ensure timely and fiscally responsible project execution
  • Collaborate with Corporate Communications, Patient Advocacy and Investor Relations on initiatives that support the launch of ARV-471
  • Exercise strong influence on the dedicated Market Insight and Analytic team by validating the customer insight & competitive intelligence plans and fully owns the forecasting assumptions
  • Monitor and communicate the performance of the indications in major markets (US , EU5 , JP) by defining the KPI’s of the brand indication, identifying new opportunities/challenges and proposed plans to address either/both in a timely manner
  • Provide commercial insights to R&D for new opportunities to ensure the development strategy is forward thinking and aligned to customer needs. Develop and maintain TOP (Target Opportunity Profiles) and TPPs (Target Product Profiles) for identified disease segments of interest
  • Support and provide commercial point into regulatory workstreams, including USPI, SMPC, etc

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of bio/pharmaceutical experience required
  • 6+ years of marketing experience in either global, regional or country level roles
  • Launch experience with a new product or indication required
  • Sales or sales leadership experience is a plus
  • Experience working in alliances/partnerships is a plus
  • Ability to travel as required for conferences and internal meetings up to 20%
  • Candidates must be flexible, possess positive mindsets, work with a high sense of urgency, and excel at collaboration with peers

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree required; degree in health sciences or business/marketing preferred
  • MBA or other advanced degree is a plus
