Senior Director – Human Resources

The Opportunity Alliance is seeking a Senior Director of Human Resources, to be based in their South Portland, Maine office. This role is for an experienced HR leader who enjoys both the hands-on, daily operations and the strategic impacts of Human Resources.
Requirements of the Senior HR Director:
- At least 3-5 years of experience in a lead technical or management HR position, with at least 3 years of experience in direct supervision of staff, required
- Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) Certification, preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources management or related field, required
- Experience in the board spectrum of HR subdisciplines (recruitment, compensation, benefits, employee relations, policy development and administration, HRIS, compliance, training); Workday experience is a huge plus!
- Full vaccination against COVID-19, as required by federal and state vaccination mandates

- Annual pay in the range of $80k - $90k

Responsibilities of the Senior HR Director:
- Strategic Planning: Collaborates with COO and Senior Leaders to conduct strategic planning that contributes to the achievement of positive client outcomes
- Policies & Expertise: Develops policies and provides expertise on HR related topics and recommends courses of action
- Compliance: Ensuresagency compliance with HR and training in accordance with policies, COA standards, andlicensing as well as regulations and legal requirements
- Employee Relations: Develops and oversees compliant and effective employee relations and performance management systems
- Talent Management: Overseesthe hiring, orientation, onboarding, and retention of Agency employees; manages job classifications and descriptions
- Total Rewards:Administersthe compensation, benefits, and incentive programs
- Leadership:Manages and participates in the day-to-day operations of the HR team
