About the job

We are searching for a thoughtful, results-driven Senior Creative Director to lead the creative team and drive the brand vision and creatively shape the brand evolution. Including but not limited to design principles and design systems. We would like for you to be well versed in UX strategy techniques and bring deep expertise in UX design (frameworks, interaction models, prototypes, research) and design thinking. You are a systems thinker who can think holistically and can identify and abstract repeatable design patterns and provide guidance. You think big, framing designs in the context of the broader customer experience, and are equally comfortable diving deep into the details when needed. You are an influencer of design direction and earn the trust of your team, peers, as well as cross-functional partners and stakeholders. You are right a lot, but are also humble. You are able to look at opportunities and issues from all sides, form a point-of-view, advocate for what you believe in, and bring people along with you.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

  • Expertise in B2B marketing roles including leading teams and a track record of working directly with the executive team and across business, product groups and event oversight ideally within software/SaaS space.
  • Leads and develops the creative team and vision and ensures the right in house and external agencies are in place to help creatively bring to life the brand, lead generation/nurture, sales enablement, event marketing, and internal communications campaigns, delivering clear and consistent visual storytelling aligned to overall brand identity and messaging.
  • Provide systems-level design thinking informed by user needs and insights, and a thought leader across the organization, actively contributing to the overall brand & product strategy.
  • Lead teams to launch successful and highly visible digital products in a consumer marketplace showing your ability to balance conversion best practices with brand-centric and human-centered design.
  • Act as an internal resource and provide leadership on brand guidelines and resources that make it easy for all brand collaborators to support and uphold our brand.
  • While exercising a good eye for aesthetics, grasp and distill highly complex issues and translate them into clean, focused, understandable solutions.
  • Cultivate positive relationships with executives and peers across the organization to ensure alignment and delivery of a holistic end-to-end customer and employee experience.
  • Supervises and train creative teams and responsible for management of design budget and a strong understanding of processes and timeline management.
  • Shape how to lead with design thinking approach that is aligned to the brand and in partnership with the stakeholders taking projects to fruition in a fast-moving and changing environment.
  • Coach and mentor designers to sharpen their skills, be more confident and effective in their jobs and have a clear path for professional growth and career development.

Required:

  • Ability to work productively within a team.
  • A great eye for detail and the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Strong internal and external relationship management skills.
  • Agile and flexible thinking.
  • Fluency in written and verbal English & Spanish.
  • Experience applying usability testing techniques and principles.
  • Experience applying a web design standard.
  • Knowledge of web client technologies (browsers, HTML, CSS) (if applicable).
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop & Figma.

Location 

This role will be Remote - US.

Approximately <10%> travel is anticipated.

*Please note this role is open to candidates outside of Colorado, California, New York, and Washington. The information below is provided for candidates hired in those locations only.

The estimated pay ranges for this role are as follows:

  • Based in Colorado: $193,760 - $242,200.
  • Based in New York, Washington State or California (outside the San Francisco Bay Area): $205,200 - $256,500.
  • This role is eligible to participate in Twilio's equity plan and the following benefits: health care insurance, 401(k) retirement account, paid sick time, paid personal time off, paid parental leave. 

The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location within the state.
