We are looking for an experienced, highly-skilled Senior Corporate Governance Officer, so support and help further develop Viva Wallet’s internal governance system, focusing on compliance with relevant legislative/regulatory requirements and management of the risk framework. He / she will provide service to Viva Wallet’s Committees, ensuring they run efficiently, effectively, and that decisions and recommendations are properly recorded and followed through.
The positions is based in Athens, Greece, reporting to the Group Head of Regulatory Compliance.

Key Responsibilities
More specifically, as a Senior Corporate Governance Officer you will:
- Ensure compliance with all regulations applicable to Viva Wallet and other legislative/regulatory requirements, including best practices of corporate governance;
- Ensure the operation of Viva Wallet’s Committees in accordance with their Charters, as well as the applicable legal and regulatory framework. Ensure that meeting minutes are properly kept and act as Committee Secretary, when necessary;
- Supervise the efficient and effective follow-up of Committees resolutions and ensure that all competent internal stakeholders have been engaged;
- Maintain Viva Wallet’s registry with the Committees’ minutes, briefs and reports ;
- Participate in the regular review of governance processes including analyzing existing processes, recommending and implementing changes, documenting new processes and procedures to support compliance, continuous improvement and adoption of innovative governance practices;
- Maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders of all levels in order to provide them with appropriate governance advice and services;
Requirements
To be considered you should have:
- University degree in Law, Banking, Business Administration or in related fields (Master’s degree in European Banking /Payments regulation or in related fields is considered a strong plus);
- Minimum of five (5) years of overall previous experience in the financial services sector in Europe, of which at least two (2) in a governance role or in a similar senior professional position;
- Professional certification is considered a strong plus;
- Thorough understanding the legal and regulatory frameworks applicable to Viva Wallet and government policies of financial institutions;
- Excellent organizational & project management skills, proven analytical, planning, problem-solving and decision-making skills;
- Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment, including senior management, in an intense, fast-paced environment and successfully manage multiple projects within deadlines;
- Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills;
- Fluency in English (written and spoken);
