About the role:

OLIVER is hiring a Senior Copywriter to join our growing team. 
 
As Senior Copywriter, you will be taking creative projects from brief to completion, working as a part of our dedicated agency team. You’re a leader who can own your projects and execute them efficiently and effectively to deliver quality, accuracy, consistency, and creativity, ensuring that all content follows brand guidelines and channel-specific best practices and requirements.  

Candidates should have a passion for digital content and know how to incorporate the latest trends and consumer behavior into their work to ensure high-performing content for well-known brands. Youwill work as part of a cross-functional team member to write unbranded and branded OTC health & wellness focused content for websites and CRM emails. 

 
What you will be doing: 

  • Delivering on content briefs from concepttocompletion,working collaboratively across teams from ideation and creation to execution     
  • Conceptualizing, researching and writing clear, compelling branded and unbranded short & long-form copy for branded websites and CRM emails 
  • Developing a deep understanding of the OTC health & wellness category, client business objectives, brand language, TOV, messaging priorities, target audience and legal/medical/regulatory requirements and using that knowledge to write for purpose to inform, inspire, engage, entertain, or motivate action on branded websites and CRM emails 
  • Working closely with Designer, Project Manager and client Digital Leads to ensure harmony and cohesiveness between design, layout and copy 
  • Adhering to mobile-first best practices for copywriting 
  • Applying core UX & UI design principles to optimize the user experience 
  • Ensuring copy adheres to WCAG/ADA website accessibility standards 
  • Leveraging Google Analytics data to inform website content strategy and copywriting and to ensure all content is optimized for search (SEO) to maximize organic rankings 
  • Analyzing Sales Force Marketing Cloud data from past emails to inform and refine CRM email content strategy and copywriting 
  • Effectively managing parallel workstreams through all stages of production and online deployment   
  • Creating and maintaining an editorial style guide for each brand to ensure content is aligned with client legal/medical/regulatory requirements 
  • Ensuring consistency and quality across all written content  
  • Provide strategic counsel and execute on ways to optimize for engagement across different digital channels  

 

What you need to be great in this role:

  • 5+ years of experience writing branded and unbranded OTC health & wellness focused B2C website and email content in an advertising agency, design firm, or marketing department 
  • Proven ability to apply mobile-first, UX and UI copywriting principles to websites and CRM emails 
  • Experience optimizing digital content for SEO  
  • Familiarity with WCAG/ADA accessibility guidelines 
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex material from different stakeholders, sources and contexts into engaging content that resonates with target audiences 
  • Ability to listen to different points of view and adapt writing style based on project and brand requirements and LMR guardrails 
  • Exceptionally detail-oriented with strong editing, grammar, and proofreading skills – must be committed to editorial excellence 
  • Strong communication skills and skilled collaborator across all departments and functions 
  • Ability to be proactive and self-directed in a fast-paced environment  
  • Adaptable to changing requirements, priorities and timelines 
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines with multiple projects running in parallel 
  • Positive attitude and catalyst for change and improvement 
  • Progressive portfolio of past work
