Senior Brand Marketing Manager

Following another outstanding year for Team 17, we are currently looking to grow our Marketing team as we seek to hire a Senior Brand Marketing Manager to work with us on our ever-expanding diverse portfolio of games that we and our partner studios create.
What You Will Be Working on as a Senior Brand Marketing Manager?
Senior Brand Marketing Managers are responsible for running a small team, with a range of games split across them. Line management responsibility is key, as well as ensuring a high quality of strategic and creative output for every game that sits in the portfolio. You will be responsible for nurturing and growing your team, as well as working directly on your own titles in order to practice showcasing ideal strategic methods, commercial intelligence and accountability.
Your Day-To-Day
- You will take ownership for the creation & execution of product/brand marketing plans for your games, whilst overseeing the plans formulated by others in your team on their own products.
- Working on departmental initiatives such as resourcing, ensuring consistency of commercial approach, ways of working with finance, sales and other departments, and proactivity when it comes to fixing problems that exist within or outside the department
- Working with internal specialists, agencies and external teams to deliver unique integrated marketing plans that deliver results.
- Bring excellence in strategic and creative approach and instil a high quality bar throughout the lifecycle of the products under your care
- Analyse and report on campaign performance throughout the lifecycle to inform strategic decision making of both live and future game releases.
- Oversee marketing deliverables, this includes planning and accounting for assets requests, press opportunities, production constraints and adjustments to the product plan. Proactively analyse the games marketplace and wider entertainment industry to understand game audiences, competitors, and changes in the industry.
- Work with game teams to provide detailed marketing strategies to best deliver results for their games.
- Ensure all games handled are effectively managed and take a collegiate approach to relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Bring excellence in creative thought and innovative ambitions to marketing campaigns, inspiring the best in others and always placing the product first.
- Develop and provide personalised growth plans, mentorship and support for those in your team.
- Act as a champion of collaboration with your teammates: solve problems, elevate thinking and generate ideas however you can with the people closest to the product; you are their shield during stressful times; you are there to achieve greatness together and have fun as a team.
What You'll Need
As a key member of our team, passion, high energy, positive outlook and creativity are key, being commercially minded with strategic thinking is important, ability to identify how the consumer need is met when executing creative launch campaigns for games is critical.
We are looking for someone who has both carved out distinctive brand marketing strategies as well as released an array of successful games. This is an opportunity to step into a leadership role and see launches through to completion as well as showing your 2-3 direct reports the benefits of the experience you bring to the table both in their own campaigns and as a career development attribute.
You will be the internal champion of your games, and will take ownership in ensuring all other areas of marketing, PR, Influencer Relations, Community and Sales, run in tandem with your vision and launch campaigns.
Some key things we’re looking for:
- Previous experience releasing games onto multiple platforms, within indie or AAA space or anything in between
- Previous experience in creating and executing inventive go to market strategies to bring a diverse range of games to market.
- An analytical mindset, with the ability to synthesize data, market trends and user feedback to assist the team in creating insightful product features
- Strong communication skills and a natural ability to influence. You should be a proactive, savvy and effective cross-functional driver
- Strong ability to multi-task and prioritise
- Positive attitude, engaged work ethic, and the ability to work in a highly collaborative team environment
- Line management experience

The Interview Process
The interview process for the Senior Brand Marketing role is made up of 2 stages:
- Stage 1 (up to 45 minutes – Initial introductory call with Nat Chubin, Global Marketing Director, who is the line manager for this role.
- Stage 2 (3 x 30 minutes calls) – For the final stage you’ll meet with some key stakeholders from different disciplines within Publishing who you’d be working with day to day. The topics of each interview will be: Emotional Intelligence, Creativity and Communication, Decision Making and Analytics.
