Job Summary
Responsible for collections of outstanding accounts receivable dollars from the existing client base and all other aspects of collections, resolving customer billing problems and reducing accounts receivable delinquency. Analyze and manage risk/fraud issues by identifying, measuring, and reporting to management when potential risk/fraud flags are discovered.
Primary Responsibilities (Job Duties)
You Will:
- Monitors accounts in assigned territory for delinquency
- Makes courtesy calls or sends reminder emails to past due customers
- Frequently contacts insurance carriers to obtain policy cancellation and unearned premium information
- Follows up with insurance carriers for timely receipt of unearned premium
- Creates and disseminates invoices to insurance agencies to recoup unearned commissions and follows up as needed
- Applies unearned premium, unearned commission, and endorsement credits from insurance agencies and carriers
- Regularly compiles and analyzes data pertaining to anticipated losses and informs management
- Performs write-offs monthly in our proprietary servicing system
- Oversees final billing to customers and turns relevant accounts over to outside collections
- Recognizes negative trends and potential risks and escalates as required
- Performs several Risk and Compliance processes to identify and mitigate potential fraud
Qualifications
You Have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or a business-related field, or equivalent knowledge gained through work experience in insurance or finance-related industry
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and the Internet

- Strong oral and written communications skills to correspond with parties at various levels
- Attention to detail and accuracy when relaying and recording information
- Quick-thinking, with developed analytical and problem-solving skills
