Senior Accountant

Key Responsibilities:
·       Participation in every aspect of the operational accounting process; fulfilling all the activities related to processing of accounting documents;
·       Reconciliation and follow up of the company’s purchases, sales, and payments;
·       Booking the bank payments; following up the bank balances; preparation of cashflow reports;
·       Calculation and posting of accruals and provisions;
·       Participation in preparation and booking of salaries, related social contributions and income tax;
·       Preparation of Accounts payable and Accounts receivable reports; updating of Vendors and Customers Master Data in the ERP system;
·       Checking of the accounting entries and the VAT ledgers;
·       Participation in preparing and filing VAT and other tax returns;
·       Participation in preparing and providing reports to the tax and other authorities;
·       Preparing and filing regulatory statistical reports, incl to central bank;
·       Preparation of internal and external ad hoc reports;
·       Participating in the monthly and year-end closing process and reporting;
·       Communication with auditors and other external parties.
·       Communication with group controlling.

·       University Degree in Accounting;
·       3+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in an international company
·       Knowledge of Bulgarian tax legislation, National Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and IFRS;
·       Proficient in both spoken and written English
·       Very good Microsoft Excel skills (V-Lookups, pivot tables etc)
·       Experience with ERP systems is essential – Microsoft Dynamics
·       Numerical and detail-oriented
·       Ability to work autonomously;
·       Good planning and problem solving skills;
·       An energetic, flexible, and proactive approach;
·       Ability to cope with deadlines.
