About The Role
Rokt is looking for a Security Engineer with a background in corporate device management.
This is a hands-on role where you will design and implement solutions to manage on- and off-boarding of devices, hardening and configuration of devices using an MDM solution, access control for devices to Rokt networks, maintenance of endpoint detection and response tooling, defining practices around the use of A/V and IoT equipment, etc.
You will partner with various Operations teams to ensure our offices run smoothly and staff have a smooth user experience during their time at Rokt, while ensuring all security concerns are identified and appropriately managed.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain workflows and supporting tooling to on- and off-board employee devices, A/V equipment, IoT, etc
- Develop processes for device management, endpoint security, and vulnerability management in a non-Windows environment; write code to automate and scale repetitive operational tasks
- Audit and assess the security posture of Rokt devices or networks and the effectiveness of related processes, by developing automated, continuous audit tooling
- Maintain configuration of our MDM, EDR and VM solutions; test and manage the impact of configuration changes, new features, or OS upgrades
- Manage network security for our offices and remote workers, including network access control, WiFi access, remote access services, etc
- Create relevant documentation and processes to assist users; conduct training sessions
- Investigate common user problems and develop solutions to prevent similar issues from arising in the future
- Research and evaluate new products and services to improve our device and network management practices; assess business benefits and impacts of proposed solutions
- Manage relationships with relevant business departments, vendors and consultants
- Be on call and able to manage critical issues outside normal work hours
Requirements
- 4+ years of relevant experience
- Software engineering experience using modern languages (e.g. Golang, Python, … not bash/powershell)
- Prior experience in building and managing best-in-class device management practices, policies, and processes and deployments of company-wide MDM and EDR solutions in a non-Windows environment
- Knowledge of modern protocols and standards related to WiFi (WPA3), network authentication (SCEP, X.509, Radius), mobile device management, etc
- Understanding of macOS, iOS, Android and Chrome Browser Enterprise administration, support, troubleshooting, available security controls and applicable threats
- Ability to work and think quickly in fast-paced environments
- The mindset of a hacker, you’re always on the lookout to find and close vulnerabilities
