Job Purpose Summary
Flexible, motivated self-starter, with a keen eye for detail, who has 6 months’ experience in a data input/production environment & is able to deliver work to a high quality & be able to take responsibility for customer queries and see them through to resolution.
Working Hours: 8 hours per day, between 8.30am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday
This role is responsible for:
- Manage and monitor the Post-Trade & MA data universe for Fixed Income securities. This involves inputting new data into the securities database & enhancing the quality of the securities which are already available on the database, which the Data Operations team are currently responsible for.
- Effectively communicate with the line manger & work closely with the rest of the Data Operations team to manage the day to day tasks & help to provide cover in their absence as required.
- Complete the list of daily allocated tasks to ensure the timeliness of our data meets the needs of customers, and work with our client services team to monitor the customer queries received by the team to ensure a quick turnaround to resolve them.
- Support Reference Data strategic change initiatives by playing an active role in scoping , testing and execution
- Assist with defining requirements for automation of Reference Data reconciliations and high-end product reporting / KPI’s
General Support Responsibilities Include:
- To develop knowledge of the full list of operational tasks involved in the day-to-day running of the Data Operations team, to gain an overall understanding of the tasks carried out by the team.
- Be part of individual projects and initiatives for Information Services to constantly review and improve the quality, coverage & timeliness of the Post-Trade & MA data universe.
- Participate in RCSA / BIA reviews with Risk Management and Reference Data Operations Managers. Document the findings and ensure all Issues are actioned and tracked.
- To be able to represent the department in internal project meetings from initiation through the Project lifecycle to conclusion.
- To deal with any ad-hoc requests as directed by Line Managers or Head of Operations pertaining to Reference Data Operations.
Knowledge/Experience
- 6 months’ data input / data vendor experience
- Has experience of bonds/fixed income data (desirable)
- Experience of working in a high volume environment
