QA Engineer

As a part of our Quality Assurance team, you will have the opportunity to be exposed to and work with many new, exciting technologies and frameworks used in developing and testing our products.

Together we will improve the quality of our products and services by applying our technical skills in assessing product problems, and brainstorm solutions to ensure the delivered products are meeting both functional and technical requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Work together with experienced developers on enterprise-focused applications and APIs in an Agile-based process
  • Develop and execute manual, exploratory, performance and automated tests in order to ensure product quality
  • Estimate, plan, and document test cases (using TestRail), and coordinate testing activities
  • Document API endpoint (REST) test cases
  • Work with the agile development team to ensure that the services are properly documented and maintained
  • Ensure that quality issues and defects are appropriately identified, documented, tracked, and resolved in our issue tracking system (Jira)
  • Develop automated tests wherever possible to improve the CI/CD pipeline
  • Perform tests in virtual (using VirtualBox) and cloud-based environments
  • Actively participate in team-related activities, brainstorming sessions, and improve the QA team capabilities

Requirements

  • Previous experience working as a QA engineer
  • Proficient in developing, documenting and executing test cases
  • Experience with REST API testing
  • Experience in working with Postman, SOAPUI or similar tools
  • Experience with Python (preferred), other OO programming language or web development languages
  • Ability to work on multiple-product assignments
  • Outstanding problem-solving, debugging, troubleshooting, and organizational skills
  • Willingness to work as part of a team and a “can-do” attitude
  • Proficiency in SQA (Software Quality Assurance) concepts and methods
  • Good knowledge of English language


Desirable

  • Working experience with GNU/Linux OS
  • Previous experience with test automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress or other)
