Project L is Riot's League-IP take on a competitive fighting game. As a QA Engineer II on the Progression Initiative for Project L you will work alongside a team of QA professionals to ensure quality goals are met. As the quality owner for this initiative you will help build the game's campaign mode and rewards systems that drive player engagement/retention. Guided by Riot’s Test Policies, you will ensure the execution of quality activities at every stage of the software development lifecycle. You will work with the other Quality Owners to arrive at more efficient solutions to everyday problems and improve delivery.   

You will report into the QA Manager for Project L.

Responsibilities:

  • Triage, monitor, and prioritize the defect database
  • Improve on methods of test execution at the initiative-level
  • Continuously give feedback on content and code being developed
  • Collaborate with different disciplines in order to push quality upstream by introducing quality practices across disciplines
  • Author test plans and oversee the execution of test coverage
  • Work with and collaborate with external QA vendors
  • Use Quality Metrics to escalate major issues to members of the Progression Initiative, driving quality decisions. 
  • Provide visibility on QA progress to Team
  • Work with the Progression Initiative Lead to hold the team accountable to meet quality standards. 

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of Quality Assurance experience
  • Experience designing and executing test plans
  • Experience managing components of a defect database
  • Experience tasking remote testers and providing feedback on effectiveness.
  • Experience working embedded with developers and content creators
  • Experience creating custom reports on test coverage and defect data
  • Experience using creative problem solving to improve process

Desired Qualifications:

  • Passion for Fighting Games and the FGC
  • Development experience with Console and PC
  • ISTQB Foundation Level 
  • ISTQB Agile Tester or ICAgile Agile Testing (ICP-TST) 
  • ISTQB Expert Level 
  • ISTQB Advanced Test Manager
  • ICAgile Test Expert (ICE-AT)

(Redwood City only) Base hourly range between $51.58 USD - $72.65 USD + incentive compensation + equity + 401K with company match + medical, dental, vision, and life insurance + short and long-term disability + open PTO.
