We are currently seeking a full-time Prop Stylist to join our growing team. The Prop Stylist is a hands-on production-oriented role for an experienced on-set creative. You will collaborate with the Art Director, Food Stylist, Studio Manager, Studio Assistant, and freelance creatives to ensure all photography assets are executed to Food52 brand standards. You’re the perfect fit for the role if you are a natural problem-solver, are obsessed with creating industry-leading images that inspire ideas and sell products, and have an irrepressible resourcefulness for finding just the right combination of elements to make an image sing.

Reporting to the Art Director, you’ll work closely with our Creative Team, as well as our extended team of freelance photographers and stylists. You’ll also partner with our Shop, Marketing, Brand Partnerships, Social and Video teams.

Work closely with the Art Director to plan and execute photo and video shoots in all categories

Communicate across departments to understand the unique ask behind every image on the shot list, and every video brief

Prep for and style images in a fast-paced but thoughtfully considered production environment, adhering to brand style guide specifications

Manage flow of daily shot lists alongside art director and creative team

Source props, botanicals, surfaces, and set pieces on a continual basis to keep imagery fresh, fun, and elevated

Assist Art Director in conveying creative direction to freelance teams

Help to maintain and evolve the organization of studio supplies, stylist carts, and prop and surface storage areas

Minimum 2 years of on-set styling experience, as primary stylist, or assistant

Experience styling for retail, advertising and editorial outlets, across food, lifestyle and home decor spaces

Strong sense of composition and style

Strong knowledge of the tools and techniques of prop styling

Basic knowledge of Google Suite

Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills

Positive attitude, and ability to pivot when met with unexpected challenges or delays

Must be able to carry up to 40 lbs

Willingness (eagerness!) to jump in and get your hands dirty

For residents of CT, NJ or NY the compensation range for this role is $55,000 - $75,000. Factors used to determine the salary range for a given position may impact what salary within the stated range may be offered to any particular candidate (e.g., years of experience, level of education obtained, etc.).
