This is a part-time 6-month contract with the opportunity to transition to a full-time role, with a pay range of 7-10k per month depending on experience. Candidates must have at least 3 years of Product Marketing leadership experience to be considered.
This is a highly cross-functional role with significant influence across product, sales, customer service, and marketing. A successful contract Product Marketing leader will be a responsible for managing the product marketing function, guiding the strategic plan for 2023 in alignment with company goals, and providing guidance and domain expertise.
The role includes pricing and packaging GTM, competitive and market intelligence, customer advocacy, and overall company positioning tying in our mission, product, and brand stories to create a cohesive all-encompassing value proposition that resonates with our personas.
We are looking for a quick study who can remain calm and resilient in this fast-paced environment (and bringing in a little fun never hurt :).
The Director, Product Marketing will report to the VP, Marketing based in Chicago, IL and work cross functionally with US and UK teams with a UK-based direct report. The role is Chicago preferred but open to US remote candidates in the central and eastern time zones.
📝 You have:
· 10+ years of B2B marketing experience, with at least 3 years of these focused on product marketing roles in high-growth SaaS environments. Experience in enterprise martech is preferred.
· 2+ years of experience in a team leadership role. You’re a people-first leader capable of developing talent, expertise, and collaboration to create an inclusive environment. Experience managing manager-level individuals.
· Excellent communication skills. You are comfortable saying exactly what you are thinking and can communicate ideas and direction with clarity.
· Exceptional cross-functional collaboration experience working with product, design, growth, and content teams.
· Experience turning data and insights into programs for improving awareness and adoption at global scale. You must be comfortable making decisions based on data.
· Thrives in an experimental and fast-paced environment.
· You don’t take yourself or marketing too seriously and enjoy a good meme.
Responsibilities:
· Steer cross-team alignment including partnering with Sales, Partnership and Marketing leadership on our company objectives and impact on GTM.
· Provide direction, development, and support to guide the product marketing function to drive positioning, messaging, launch strategy, GTM plans, and competitive intelligence.
· Track and report on business performance and insights to key stakeholders across all areas of focus addressing acquisition to retention.
· Ensure Marketing and customer facing teams are empowered and informed of product roadmap, timelines, and messaging so they can effectively execute on GTM initiatives.
· Work with Product Management leaders to Influence product roadmap, future releases and business strategy by understanding market trends & customer needs.
· Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure we are building processes across teams and channels that will scale with us as we grow.
· Develop case studies, website content, webinars, demos, and other marketing materials in partnership with the brand/content team to drive awareness and demand with key segments.
