The Role:

The product design team at Carrot Fertility is seeking a Product Designer who will help shape both our member and the internal team-facing products. You will work closely with Product and Engineering counterparts to deliver products that scale our impact to customers and members around the world. If you relish the challenge of shaping a product that supports a diverse set of member needs across all paths toward parenthood and lifelong fertility healthcare, this role is for you!

The Team:

You will:

  • Work closely with PMs, engineers, content designers, and other cross-functional teams across the company to design features from concept to launch
  • Deeply understand and solve complex problems for our customers, members, and internal teams
  • Be able to shift from strategic thinking by setting the design strategy on your squad, to design execution by delivering thoughtful userflows, journeys, and design specifications
  • Utilize both quantitative and qualitative data to inform your designs to deliver the most optimal experience to our end users
  • Work in a collaborative environment by providing and seeking feedback from other designers and stakeholders in many different environments such as design critiques, engineering reviews, workshops, etc.
  • Deliver high quality UI using components from our design system — and recognize when we need to deviate from our design system
  • Help shape and influence our rapidly growing design team’s culture, process, and future vision of our products

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of product design experience
  • A portfolio of design work that demonstrates experience designing and shipping complex products
  • Ability to learn a complex product quickly and solve problems with minimal supervision
  • Both high-level strategic thinking and close attention to detail
  • Experience designing end-to-end features for responsive web applications
  • An excellent communicator and collaborator who can work well with various groups and levels of the organization
  • Fluency designing with Figma

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with the healthcare industry, insurance, finance, and compliance
  • Experience designing for accessibility and in accordance with WCAG
  • Sensitivity to the challenges of fertility health and family forming around the world
  • Demonstrated experience working within design systems
  • A basic knowledge of front-end development languages to understand feasibility

Compensation:

Carrot offers a holistic Total Rewards package designed to support our employees in all aspects of their life inside and outside of work, including health and wellness benefits, retirement savings plans, short- and long-term incentives, parental leave, family-forming assistance, and a competitive compensation package. The expected base salary for this position will range from $100,000 - $138,000. Actual compensation may vary from posted base salary depending on your confirmed job-related skills and experience.
