About the Opportunity: We are currently looking for a Product Business Analyst! As a Product Business Analyst, you will play a critical part in building out a modern loan servicing platform used by lenders and servicers in the consumer and mortgage lending markets in the United States. Your focus will be on mortgage loan documentation, with an emphasis how documents enter our ecosystem, how they move through it and how they are stored.

You will also be working with internal and external clients to validate, test, and implement new business features, business rules, workflows, and upgrades to existing features that are required to support regulatory requirements and loan servicing business operations. You will work directly with the engineering, product, and compliance teams to develop and unit test the new features. You may also create product documentation to support those features and internal and external training documentation.

Your Day-to-Day at Sagent:   

  • Participate in product discovery activities with internal teams and external clients, including user surveys, user interviews, journey maps, empathy maps, personas, etc.   
  • Perform research and analysis across government regulation and Investor/Insurer guidelines 
  • Participate in aspects of product validation testing specific to requirement and application compliance 
  • Support definition and prioritization of the product backlog by providing subject-matter expertise to scrum teams
  • Interview users, analyze data packages, review policies/procedures, etc.to identify trends, patterns, gaps in compliance, and/or efficient processes for advisory clients 
  • Assist in developing compliant workflow and reporting methodology for use but internal and external parties
  • Create and participate in the presentation of information to key stakeholders at various levels
  • Assist with development of training on new product features for client services, implementation consultants and other internal clients and cross-functional teams

We'd love to hear from you if you have:  

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Business Administration, or equivalent work experience.
  • Previous experience working directly with and optimizing the usage mortgage servicing technology including LoanServ, Tempo, LSAMS, .
  • Previous work experience in multiple areas within mortgage servicing operations (audit management, bankruptcy, business intelligence, call center, cash/corporate advance, claims, escrow, foreclosure, loss mitigation, regulatory compliance, system administration, vendor oversight, etc.)
  • 10+ years in the Mortgage Servicing industry is required
  • Knowledge of current mortgage servicing regulatory climates and its impacts on the lending process 
  • Excellent communications skills, both oral and written. Must be able to communicate effectively and confidently with users, team members, and management 
  • Experience in requirements gathering and synthesizing feedback into actionable requests and an understanding of the optimization of processes, policies, and   
  • Ability to think about ideas abstractly, analyzes processes, and communicate results clearly
  • Highly organized
  • Can manage multiple activities and initiatives at once
  • Can build relationships across business groups and with clients
  • Limited travel may be required.
