About the Opportunity:  We are currently looking for a Product Business Analyst! As a Product Business Analyst, you will play a critical part in helping Sagent build out a modern loan servicing platform used by lenders and servicers in the consumer and mortgage lending markets in the United States.  

Your focus will be to work with internal and external clients to validate, test, and implement new business features, business rules, workflows, and upgrades to existing features that are required to support regulatory requirements and loan servicing business operations. You will work directly with the engineering, product, and compliance teams to develop and unit test the new features. You may also create product documentation to support those features and internal and external training documentation.

Your Day-to-Day at Sagent:  

  • Work with internal teams and external clients in a fast-paced and dynamic environment  
  • Perform discovery activities include research, user personas, current state analysis, and product requirements documents as required
  • Work with UX engineers to support development of wireframes, mockups, and prototypes 
  • Support definition and prioritization of the product backlog including hand off to the development scrum teams
  • Create documentation and test plans to validate product design  
  • Perform system testing from a business perspective  
  • Provide technical inputs, such as file layouts, field definitions, etc.  
  • Identify report on findings and work with teams and clients to correct problems  
  • Meet with internal and external clients to understand and define requirements for projects  
  • Write business designs and test cases for new and upgraded system features  
  • Perform project testing from a business perspective in the project development lifecycle  
  • Write and update product documentation for each project  
  • Work with stakeholders to define business requirements  
  • Create, publish, and present business solutions to the business, clients and the Technical Team  
  • Work with Technical Team as they provide their technical solution  
  • Work with QA team to provide business input  
  • Facilitate implementations and integration as needed  
  • Assist with training on new projects for Client Services, Implementation consultants and other internal clients  
  • Work collaboratively with team members and cross-functional team to perform impact analysis  

We'd love to hear from you if you have:  

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience) in business, computer science, finance and/or related fields
  • 5+ years Mortgage Servicing is highly desired with experience in loan boarding, account services, escrow, loss mitigation, bankruptcy, foreclosure, investor reporting, customer services, or servicing compliance oversight
  • 5+ years of software industry experience is higley desired; experience working with a large enterprise solution desired
  • 3+ years of hands-on business analyst, development, project management, or testing experience  
  • Relational database management experience with SQL or Snowflake 
  • Knowledge of mortgage servicing regulatory climates and its impacts on the lending process  
  • Experience creating business designs, test plans, testing scripts, and system requirements  
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working with content management systems  
  • Experience working with on and offshore teams is required  
  • Experience with the entire PDLC process
