Terran Orbital is seeking a Process Engineerto join our growing team. Reporting to the PCBA Director, the Process Engineer will work as a part of the Manufacturing Technical Team helping Programming, Running, and Maintaining the Automated manufacturing equipment and day to day tasks supporting production for Terran Orbital corporation.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop equipment procedures/processes and manage the programming of production related equipment.
  • Collaborate with Senior team members on technical decisions related to the products manufacturability and processing on non-conformances and work instructions.
  • Create Maintenance Plans, including preventative maintenance, and preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with existing processes or equipment and make modifications and improvements as needed.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers for tooling and fixture designs to increase productivity and Quality of assembled PCBA’s
  • Work with Manufacturing Engineering teams to communicate PCBA Assembly and Fabrication issues
  • Support PCBA manufacturing issue identification and resolution
  • Support technicians and operators as needed
  • Be a contributing member towards 6S system for production area

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 to 15 years of experience in a PCBA Manufacturing environment. Or a combination of education and experience. Experience with hands on assembly of PCBA’s (Soldering) a plus.
  • A successful change agent willing to help Terran Orbital make changes happen by inspiring and influencing others.
  • Highly self-motivated and organized with strong written and oral communication skills
  • Able to work well in an integrated team, including daily interactions with technicians, engineers, and managers
  • Demonstrated experience working in a highly adaptive and iterative environment.
  • Knowledge of IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, AS9100 requirements and practices.
  • Experience qualifying new manufacturing equipment and/or processes.

Salary Range $85,000-$165,000

Your actual level and base salary will be determined case-by-case and may vary based on the job-related qualification, knowledge, skills, education, and experience. The job operates in a professional office environment but in a manufacturing company. This job routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and scanners.
