We are looking for a Database Administrator who will participate in Database design and data modeling.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide recommendations for improvements or optimizations
- Analysis of DBMS performance problems and issue recommendations to improve the efficiency of applications
- Provide SQL development support and query tuning
- Develop and proactively review the monitoring of production PostgreSQL databases
- Maintaining data integrity by monitoring database activity to ensure that it meets regulations on security and compliance
- Enforce architectural governance, database standards and best practices
- Write and review stored procedures and make recommendations for optimization
- Develop automation standards for repeated, routine database tasks
- Manage database access.
Requirements:
- 4+ years experience in PostgreSQL
- Solid understanding of HA solutions
- Experience in SQL development and database design
- Expertise in SQL, DML and DDL
- Understanding of query planning
- Knowledge of PostgreSQL tuning and optimisation parameters
- Knowledge of PostgreSQL replication techniques and Amazon RDS support will be beneficial
- Advanced knowledge of database security, backup and recovery, and performance monitoring standards
- Experience with container runtime and management software like Docker and Kubernetes would be a plus
- Excellent written and spoken English
