If you live and breathe digital marketing, we want to talk to you. Qoala is looking for a Performance Marketing Manager to lead customer acquisition across our top marketing channels including paid search, paid social, video ads and more.
In this role, you will be responsible for achieving aggressive growth goals while lowering CAC. You will partner closely with cross functional leaders in marketing, product and sales in addition to working with our executive team to gain new customers and achieve overarching business goals.
As we’re scaling our go-to-market and marketing efforts regionally, we’re looking for a passionate, experienced, data-centric and outcome-driven leader to build and grow user acquisition and product growth.
Responsibilities:
Collaboration
- Establish highly productive internal partnerships across Marketing, Sales, Ops, Finance and Product to ensure that the strategy meets overall business goals. This role works in partnership with Country Sales Leads & Managers to drive sales and revenue goals across all key markets. You’ll also need to partner with Content Marketing Senior Manager, Product Manager teams and more to align channel messaging with product stories
Be an exceptional people leader and manager
- You’ll be responsible for attracting, retaining and growing a high performing T-shaped team under the performance marketing function (advertising, CRM marketing, digital analytics, etc) to acquire new leads and retain existing customers across our key channels.
Marketing Strategy
- You’ll be responsible for enhancing our digital acquisition strategy on all key paid and unpaid channels including, but not limited to Google (YouTube, Search, Display), Facebook, TikTok, and have a chance to explore new native platforms. You and your team will drive campaigns from planning to execution and beyond to meet key performance metrics. We don’t want to optimize just for engagement or reach.
Performance Management:
- Set acquisition and growth targets for marketing teams spread across offline and online channels such as paid search, social, display, affiliates etc.Comfortable forecasting, managing, and allocating complex budgets based on performance targets and overarching business goals.
Optimize marketing budgets to maximize Return on Ad Spend and efficiently scale new customers
- Identify pain points to creatively improve non-performing areas.Oversee key marketing KPIs in partnership with Content Marketing Senior Manager and our CEO to continue building into needs that align with marketing strategies (i.e. cohort analysis, renewal purchases, attribution modeling, ROAS, CPA, conversion, etc.).
Requirements
- 5+ years of performance marketing / digital advertising experience (with focus on Google Search & Facebook/Instagram), with 3+ years of experience leading advertising or media buying functions.
- 2+ years developing and executing advertising strategies that deliver on key acquisition, engagement, and retention goals.
- Experience driving conversion and engagement through targeting, creative, experiments / testing and data analytics at scale.
- Excellent proficiency in Bahasa & English language with a keen eye for grammatical errors and typos.
- Experience using Digital Marketing Tools (Google Analytics / GA4, Google Tag Manager, Facebook Ads Library) Google Suite (focused more on Google Sheets formulas) and CRM Tools etc.
Direct experience with:
- Adwords
Facebook advertising - Acquisition funnels
- Google Tag Manager
- Google Analytics / GA4
- Landing page builders (FreshMarketer, Unbounce, Instapage, or an equivalent tool)
- Experience managing analytics tools & expertise in manipulating data sets (think: Google Sheet or Excel)
- Ability to create customer journey flows for inbound & outbound marketing campaigns.
- Ability to write direct-response advertising copy for Facebook & Google
- Excellent interpersonal skills: This role will require managing multiple stakeholders and working cross-functionally.

- Experience influencing senior leaders and cross-functional working groups
- Excellent data literacy. We work with a lot of tools and data - the ability to look at the right data points and synthesize them into actionable and key results is vital
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to combine complex content into a clear and cohesive story to gain both internal and external buy-in
- Ability to navigate complex scenarios and to develop an incremental “crawl, walk, run” approach to addressing challenges
