Job Description

As Iris Telehealth’s Payroll Administrator, you will report to our Payroll Manager and work closely with the Corporate Controller. In this role you will be responsible for the administration and maintenance of payroll processing for over 350 employees (and growing). Additional responsibilities include coordinating with HR on pay and benefit changes, 401K administration, and ensuring prompt and accurate filings with tax agencies in over 30 states. This position will play an important role in the accounting process and require superior attention to detail and strong communication skills.

 

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Prepare accurate and timely payroll for over 350 employees on a semi-monthly basis
  • Ensure payroll procedures stay compliant with federal, state, and local tax laws
  • Manage federal and state agency accounts, which includes timely reporting and resolving tax payment and filing issues
  • Track payroll related changes and audit payroll results to ensure accurate processing, including new hire and termed employee payments, tax treatment upon an employee relocating, retro pay, leaves of absence, salary changes, FTE changes, etc.
  • Ensure clinician timecards are complete, accurate, and approved by end of each pay period
  • Continuously innovate and optimize payroll processes
  • Manage employee PTO and coordinate with HR on any changes to pay or benefit deductions
  • Prepare payroll accruals and journal entries

 

What You’ll Need

  • Excellent attention to detail and conscientious approach to record keeping
  • Extensive experience with a payroll system and managing multi-state payroll (ADP experience preferred)
  • The ability to handle confidential and sensitive matters with integrity
  • The ability to communicate in emails and verbally in a professional, clear, and concise manner
  • A professional and personable disposition
  • Superior organizational skills
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
  • 3 years of relevant payroll experience
