SUMMARY
- Performance of complex early intervention services which foster and monitor child progress in the acquisition and mastery of functional skills to reduce or overcome limitations resulting from disabilities or developmental delays, to infants and toddlers and their families; under the authority of Health and Human Services Commission.
- Essential tasks include: collaboration as a member of interdisciplinary teams, evaluation, assessment, eligibility determination, treatment planning, documentation, therapeutic intervention and consultation services in family homes and community settings, records review and maintenance, other ECI related duties required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Comprehensive knowledge of typical and atypical child development, and childhood disabilities, birth to three.
- Comprehensive knowledge of and understanding of team and family dynamics.
- Ability to contribute discipline specific skills and clinical judgment as a member of an interdisciplinary team which include parents, caregivers, and other professional staff.
- Ability to perform under minimal supervision with considerable requirements for initiative, discretion, independent thought, judgment and self-motivation in matters of significance to families as well as the agency.
- Well developed interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills, time management /organization skills, and basic computer skills.
- Ability to independently conduct discussions and formulate recommendations for developmentally appropriate treatment plans which commit the agency financially.
- Ability to comprehend and adhere to family- centered- activity- based early intervention practices in the provision of Occupational Therapy services.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Minimum: Bachelor’s or Master’s level degree, Licensed by the Texas Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners, current OTR status.
- Must complete required hours for continuing professional education and ethics as discipline applicable.
- After employment, must complete required ECI State Trainings and LPS required trainings.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Valid Texas driver's license and a good driving record.
- Must be able to pass criminal history check.
- Must be able to provide at least 3 educational or business references.
- Licensed by the Texas Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners.

Shift: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm
