📄 JOB DESCRIPTION
Today we are looking for a Network Reliability Engineer to join the Backbone team.
This is a team of 4 engineers distributed between Paris and Amsterdam and the main topics.
Their main areas of intervention are internet connectivity, MPLS L3&L2 transport across all group buildings and datacenters, datacenter Spine & Leafs with multiple context support, packaging and automation, capacity planning and inventory management for datacenters.
🎯 TASKS
- You will be a driving force in the design of the Veepee network architecture, deployment and operational topics and provide level 3 support for an area of expertise;
- You will be responsible for the deployment of regular changes done without impact in conjunction with Infrastructure, SRE; execute upgrades, migrations, optimizations, new implementations and identifies and resolves efficiency issues;
- In order to follow the ambitious growth of the Veepee group, you will have to automate as often as possible the recurring actions of the network infrastructure, with the main objective of reducing the time taken to provide services, as well as BUILD than in RUN;
- You will maintain in Operational Condition of the existing Veepee infrastructure: maintain it, solve incidents;
- You will participate in debugging in conjunction with the infrastructure team;
- You will participate in the evolution of this infrastructure: structuring technical choices, planned operations;
- To execute upgrades, migrations, optimizations, new implementations and identifies and resolves efficiency issues;
- To execute systems management to ensure optimal current and future efficiency and functionality;
- To develop and maintain operational support documentation for systems.
👉 MUST HAVE skills
- Strong knowledge of UNIX systems (Linux / BSD optional);
- Scripting skills with at least 1 of UNIX Shells and Python;
- Strong knowledge about deployment tools such as Docker and Terraform;
- Strong knowledge of automation tools such as Netbox, Ansible & Git CI/CD;
- At least 3 years of experience as a system and network engineer;
- Strong knowledge of dynamic routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF (IS-IS being a plus);
- Knowledge of LAN DC technologies Cisco and Juniper;
- Good general knowledge of network security (Firewalling, application protection);
- Good knowledge of monitoring tools (Prometheus, grafana, etc.)
- Strong troubleshooting skills
