About the Internship:
- We are open to the internship being part time during the academic year or full-time over the summer
- Projects may involve exploration of products and/or process problems, definition and selection of new concepts and approaches, origination or modification of material, component and process specifications and requirements
- Apply mechanical engineering principles in the design and analysis of components, sub system and system
- Diagnose and investigate the root-cause of part, assembly or design failures
- Communicate and collaborate with multiple teams and stakeholders to provide updates and provide task deliverables
- Support prototype and production pilot builds and resolve technical and quality issues
- Work closely with senior engineers to develop and test new design and support analysis tasks
- Work on substantive projects that have the potential to impact the future business of the company
- Present the projects they have been involved with and lessons learned at the end of the internship
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Applied Physics
- Proficient in GSuite (Google docs, sheets, etc)
- Strong problem solving and analysis skills
- Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and/or optical components
- Course work on mechanical engineering fundamentals including structures, mechanisms, materials and analysis
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
