SUMMARY

As Manager, Proposal Management, you will transform customer Requests for Proposals (RFP) into winning proposals and be very involved during the sales process by providing technical/operational expertise. The selected individual will interact intensively with business development and technical colleagues, as well as with senior management.

To be the right candidate for our team, it is important that you can analyze and understand client requirements. Furthermore, you should be able to collaborate with and collect input from Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to produce comprehensive, technically accurate, properly formatted, and not least persuasive proposals. An interest, and perhaps knowledge, regarding sales data tracking and analysis, is relevant. This process helps us/you to provide insight into how AGC Biologics can win even more proposals.


Further key responsibilities as a Manager, Proposal Management:

  • Manage a team of 2-4 proposal managers.
  • Create winning proposals to drive revenue, growth, and profitability.
  • Evaluate RFPs to determine the appropriate project scope and requirements.
  • Work closely with the technical teams to obtain information needed to respond to RFPs.
  • Prepare proposal pricing suggestions and strategy and present them to relevant decision makers.
  • Participate in customer on-site meetings and conference calls.
  • Drive new improvement initiatives which will make AGC Biologics more competitive and efficient in the proposal generation phase.

 

Which candidate is the right fit for us?

First, we expect you to have a University degree (Bachelor’s / Master’s / Ph.D.) in either Biotech, Molecular Biology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related fields. It is important that you have a solid understanding of drug development and have +5 years’ of relevant work experience, preferably from a Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO). Specific knowledge in the field of mammalian and/or microbial is required.

Since we are an international company, excellent skills in both verbal and written English are required. Attention to detail is a must with strong organizational skills. We expect that you would describe yourself as highly skilled in communication and in working in cross-functional teams across several locations.

  • Demonstrated passion for producing high-quality work.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office, including MS Project (for the creation of Gantt charts) required.
  • Experience with Salesforce is highly desired.

 

This position can both be a remote position in the US, or you can be located at AGC Biologics office in either Seattle, Washington, Boulder, Colorado, or Longmont, Colorado.

COMPENSATION RANGE:

$124,320.00 - $170,940.00 annually.

Fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges. Final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to experience levels, knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Benefits available to Team Members include subsidized insurance for the Team Member and designated dependents (medical, vision, dental, life, and disability), eligibility to participate in the AGC Biologics 401(k) plan (including a generous matching contribution from the company and immediate vesting), vacation, sick time, and parental leave.

Team Members are also eligible to receive a discretionary annual bonus commensurate to the level of the role. The payout is based on both the company’s performance and the Team Member’s performance.
