Manager, Human Resources Business Partner

GLG seeks a Human Resources Business Partner (“HRBP”) for our North APAC (South Korea and Japan) business to serve as a critical business partner leading all aspects of human resources for the business, working closely with the North APAC leadership team and key areas within Human Resources including Talent Acquisition, Talent Development and Compensation.

The HRBP will embody GLG’s values and culture in an authentic way. S/he will have a strong understanding of what drives performance and engagement across a diverse workforce and will provide value-added solutions to the business / client teams that attract, motivate, and retain employees.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the advisor and confidante to the leaders within the North APAC business s/he supports on all aspects of human resources; partnering with various human resources functions to ensure that GLG has the talent, processes and structure necessary to support and grow the business and that HR is aligned to the company’s goals and business objectives
  • Partner with the total rewards team to advise client leaders and stakeholders on GLG’s compensation philosophy, framework and practices
  • Partner with the talent development team and business stakeholders within your client organization to identify, optimize, and drive adoption of learning experiences geared towards individual and team competency building, leadership development, and career progression
  • Drive adoption of new HR programs and policies aimed at performance management, organizational health & engagement, recognition, talent planning, and retention
  • Partner with talent acquisition and client hiring managers to recruit, interview and hire qualified talent for roles
  • Support the evolution and optimization of GLG’s talent program to attract, recruit, develop, integrate and retain high potential talent. Support initiatives to develop a sustainable talent base by effectively assimilating internal and external talent
  • Support the implementation of compensation processes and programs that are competitive in the market, drive performance and attract/retain talent across the business
  • Support the growth of a performance-based culture
  • Lead and/or support the review, investigation and resolution of Employee Relations matters
  • Coach managers within client groups on performance management, professional development planning, inclusive leadership, employee relations, and compensation planning
  • Champion Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) strategies and initiatives as a key driver of business performance and employee engagement

 

Required Experiences

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree in HR, business or a relate field is preferred.
  • HR Domain Expertise:
    • Breadth and depth in HR with a minimum of 6 years of HR Business Partner experience.
    • Progressive, multidisciplinary HR experience, including dedicated experience working as an HR Business Partner aligned to department executives and/or senior leadership
    • Experience supporting the delivery of functional areas within HR including talent acquisition, talent management; compensation, total rewards, organizational design; and/or HR analytics
    • A thorough understanding of HR practices, including employment law and regulations
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrated ability to understand statistical data and how to apply to HR Process – strong experience identifying, analyzing and deriving key insights from HR data and trends
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient with HR SAAS platforms including Workday, Greenhouse (other ATS platforms)
