Licensing Specialist: Hyderabad, India
We are looking for a resourceful candidate to join our team based out of the firm’s office in Hyderabad, India. The position requires providing instant as well as thorough support to customers worldwide in licensing our software.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in computer science or related disciplines, preferably with relevant certifications like - Red Hat Certified System Administrator(RHCSA), Google Certified Associate Cloud Engineer, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner etc.
- Familiar with routinely used desktop operating systems like Linux, macOS, Windows as well as server operating systems like Microsoft Server, Linux Server etc.
- Familiar with Powershell, Bash, Python or other routinely used base languages
- Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills both with customers and internal groups
- Excellent attention to detail
- Extremely well organised, and able to prioritise tasks to maximize efficiency
- A self-starter who can identify and quickly troubleshoot issues
What you will do day-to-day:
- Create, deliver and manage software license keys for customers
- Troubleshoot license issues as needed
- General administrative tasks required to keep customer records up to date
- Guide technical deployment of Schrödinger’s licensing tools in desktop machines as well as clusters, cloud and other computing/hosting services
- Work directly with the end users as well as their local/third-party IT teams in configuring and troubleshooting our software licensing
- Respond promptly over email to queries posed by customers from the global scientific community
- Collaborate with the internal support and licensing team, other scientific teams, account managers and internal system administrators to resolve customer issues related to licensing of our software
- Watch for inconsistencies/bugs in our licensing tools and report them to the development team to help improve our licensing tools/services
- Position requires working from 2 PM to 10 PM IST
Optional but desirable skills:
- Exposure to licensing tools like FlexLM, OpenLM etc.
- Exposure to Schrodinger Suite or any other in-silico licensed softwares
- Familiar with popular containers like Docker, Kubernetes, Podman etc.
- Familiar with Authentication protocols like LDAP, OAuth2 etc.
