About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Learning Designer - Content Writer to join a new Learning Experience team that’s improving ROLLER’s customer experience by helping our customers successfully implement and use the platform.

You'll play a central role in shaping the learning experience for our customers in 30+ countries. Collaborating with experts from teams across the organization, this is a job where you can make your mark.

This role can be based anywhere in Australia or New Zealand.

As a member of the Learning Experience team, you'll develop self-serve learning resources to support customers in achieving their goals with ROLLER. What You’ll Be Doing

As an end-to-end role, we’re looking for someone who has experience taking learning initiatives from start to finish.

You'll ask questions to understand what’s needed, identify any gaps and follow up with stakeholders. You’ll be an individual contributor creating written and video content for our digital learning channels, including in-app learning experiences, the Help Center and training Academy. You'll also collaborate with product squads to craft relevant guidance in sync with our monthly release cycles.

You’re excited by this role because you’ll:

  • Get to learn the ROLLER platform and how it helps our users achieve success in their work.
  • Write, edit and maintain resources that help our users get started with ROLLER, adopt new features and provide ongoing support and value.
  • Streamline onboarding processes with in-app checklists and guides to improve time to value and accelerate customer acquisition.
  • Collaborate cross functionally to gather inputs on best practice use cases for different verticals and execute on learning solutions.
  • Create and publish a variety of digital learning resources to support hybrid customer journeys for unique customer personas (eg videos, in-app guides, self-directed learning pathways and spaced learning campaigns).
  • Develop targeted resources to support the release of product releases, including short, focused videos, best practice tips, and more detailed how-to articles.
  • Contribute to our Help Center Guild to improve customer self-serve efficiency, enable teams to create FAQs and decrease support ticket volume.
  • Find ways to optimize our learning delivery channels and make our systems and processes more efficient and scalable.


About You

As a Learning Designer - Content Writer, you’re skilled in developing content in different formats for a range of digital channels.

You have exceptional writing skills and you’re a creative problem-solver. Your ability to refine complex concepts into content that is concise, easy to digest and approachable for our customers, with an eye for design, sets you apart. You have a strong track record of seeing tasks through to completion, and take a proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential roadblocks to keep projects on track.

  • Strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex ideas into clear, concise and engaging content.
  • Experience applying learning design principles to change behaviors.
  • A collaborative approach to gathering inputs and co-creating resources with multiple stakeholders.
  • Practical skills in web and media production, including HTML/CSS, video creation, image editing and simple animations.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities to meet deadlines while also being comfortable asking for help when needed.
  • 3+ years experience creating resources in a SaaS product environment.
  • Experience in a customer service role.

What you can expect during the recruitment process

  1. Initial call with our Talent Acquisition Manager
    You'll have an initial call with our Talent Acquisition Manager to chat through some of your experience to date, salary expectations and you can check off any initial questions you might have
  2. Interview with our Lead Learning Experience Designer
    You'll have an interview with our Lead Learning Experience Designer to chat through your experience and previous work samples that you created. You can also check off any additional questions you might have about the role or the team.
  3. Whiteboard collaboration session
    This stage is an online whiteboard session with our Lead Learning Experience Designer to see how you like collaborating around a problem in a real-world context. This is followed by a short written task based on the ideas generated.
  4. Loop Interview
    This is where you get to meet our wider ROLLER team to do a ‘vibe check’ on us to make sure our culture & vibe meet what you are looking for!
  5. Offer
    If all lights are green and the fit feels right, we’ll conduct reference checks and you’ll receive an offer to join the team!
