Deskpro are looking to hire a hands-on Lead QA Engineer to take ownership of our whole e2e QA process. You should be highly-motivated with meticulous attention to detail, documentation and problem-solving. You must be willing to be a key part of the front-lines of manual testing of features, bugs and releases as well as triaging bug reports on a daily basis.

This role will require you to work from our offices in Wimbledon.

You will be working hand-in-hand with the product and engineering teams to facilitate safe, reliable and timely releases of our software. You will also manage the efforts of our two manual testers and two automated test engineers, ensuring that their work is prioritised according to the needs of the product delivery lifecycle.

This is a brand new role at Deskpro that will provide the right candidate with an exceptional opportunity to work with us on developing brand new processes and policies in regards to testing.

Duties to include:

  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to develop a deep understanding of the Deskpro product.
  • Work with the engineering team to estimate the complexity of testing product backlog items whilst ensuring that testing is treated as a first-class citizen.
  • Develop and document detailed test plans.
  • Work hands-on with manual testing.
  • Validate incoming bug reports and assist with prioritising them.
  • Work with the product team to consider quality risks in regards to upcoming features.
  • Assisting with scheduled releases, including implementing test plans.
  • Manage the backlog of automated test plans, prioritising the most time-consuming tests.
  • Coordinate with our QA contractors (2 * manual, 2 * automation engineers).
  • Be directly involved in the future growth of the QA team.
