Jira Product Discovery is one of Atlassian's most exciting new products. Currently in open beta and about to move to General Availability (GA) – Jira Product Discovery helps teams capture, refine and prioritise ideas so they can build what matters.

We're looking for a Lead Product Designer to support us in our mission to build the product team's home for discovery. This is a unique opportunity to to work on an early stage, fast-growing product. You'll have end-to-end ownership of challenging design projects – from research all the way to final execution and validation – and help shape the future of the product. You'll work in an agile team, operating with the autonomy of a startup but with access to the resources and scale of a Fortune 100 company.

You'll be part of the Jira Product Discovery design team - In this role you'll be driving complex and high-impact design projects requiring a broad set of design skills.

What you'll do:
- You'll report to a Design Manager based in Europe
- You'll partner with product and engineering peers on building new features and improving the product experience
- Plan and facilitate continuous research with our customers that informs prioritisation and execution of design projects
- End-to end focus on solving customer problems: from identifying pain points to finding and implementing solutions
- Collaborate with partners across the company on integrating Jira Product Discovery with other products in the Atlassian portfolio
- Manage projects that you lead and ensure outcomes are also achieved through others in your team

Your Background:
- 8+ years of experience in design roles and has been in a lead role
- UX/product design experience, designing complex or enterprise-level software for startups (0 to 1 projects) or in large-scale design organisations
- Success with scaling design solutions for broad and diverse user bases
- Proficiency with turning complex user flows into intuitive and usable interfaces
- Experience with quality, accessibility and delivering refined experiences
- Experience working (and maybe even building) design systems
- Facilitation and collaboration skills: you can demonstrate the ability to work with multiple teams, solicit and summarise feedback, and facilitate design discussions
