Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare Journals for all accruals, prepayments, reclass etc.
- Ensuring that all intercompany transactions are recorded in the accounting system and Intercompany accounts reconciled monthly with partners statement.
- Ensuring that all expenses are correctly coded and the financial statements to show a true and fair view.
- Prepare the Fixed Assets register, ensuring that it is updated monthly with additions/disposals, use of appropriate depreciation rates and depreciation is accurately calculated.
- Invoice Runs – Coordinated with the Credit Control team, Finance Manager and Contract Admin: Execute the main monthly and weekly iCABS Invoice Run and ensure balancing and posting into Navision.
- Supervise the Accounts Receivable unit, providing support on collection matters and strategies to deliver the target.
- Manage the stock count process monthly & yearly, ensuring that stock is valued as per standard and stock sheet updated.
- Prepare and analyse Value Added Tax (VAT) return and reconciliation.
- Prepare general ledger reconciliations in line with agreed deadlines – includes but is not limited to bank, accounts receivable and accounts payable, intercompany, reconciliations
- Assist Finance Manager in audit process ensuring that all queries are resolved and all documentation requested are submitted in a timely manner.
- Assist with preparation of Financial statements.
- Support the implementation of new policies, procedures & applications, while making recommendations to bring efficiencies to the current processes.
- Assist with the preparation of weekly & Monthly payroll, ensuring all statutory deductions are paid and documentation submitted to body.
- Assist with preparation of local & foreign payments.
Requirements
Completion of Level II ACCA or another accounting Certification.
At least 2 years’ progressive experience in an accounting role or similar function in a B2B environment.
Technology Savvy, with experience in an accounting software & payroll system.
