About the Role

Abnormal Security is looking for a Jira administrator to join the IT team. The IT team manages Abnormal’s Atlassian platform (including Jira) and provides technical solutions to our internal customers. This role will lead the development, customization, and management of the Atlassian platform/service. This role manages new enhancements and owns the scoping, planning, and execution to ensure customer satisfaction.  The ideal candidate will have the ability to “translate” customer needs into technical solutions. Be detail oriented and leverage an organized, project plan based work style. 

 

Responsibilities 

  • Drive enhancements and optimization of the company’s Atlassian investment
  • Deliver business outcomes and efficiencies by understanding the internal customer’s use case and helping architect, design and build new workflows and processes within Jira
  • Maximize product use and align with best practices for service and workflow management
  • Ensure Atlassian product suite is properly configured, secured and documented to enable easy adoption and scale processes
  • Collaborate with a variety of internal stakeholders including G&A teams, IT/Security, and Engineering to develop solutions that solve business problems
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and build self-service capabilities for key constituencies
  • Provide hands on IT support for Bangalore office, including but not limited to: resolving end user computing issues, local support for Abnormal’s SaaS portfolio, and being the local ‘trusted advisor’ for IT

 

Must Have Skills

While we’re always open to you raising your hand for new things that grow your skill set and add value, from day one you focus on these core areas of impact and responsibilities:

  • 3-5+ years experience designing and building technology solutions
  • Proven experience managing the Atlassian ecosystem, including Jira, Jira Service Management and Confluence 
  • Hands on experience developing workflows, automation, third-party integrations, and dashboards/reporting for the Atlassian platform
  • Demonstrated experience translating business requirements into technical solutions 
  • Proven experience working effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Experience managing multiple projects and delivering fully functioning solutions within an allocated time and resource budget
  • BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related engineering field
  • A strong desire and ability to document processes and procedures 
  • Experience working individually as well as in groups on a regular basis

 

Nice to Have 

  • Hands on end user support with Windows and MacOS
  • Demonstrated track record of managing common SaaS applications like Zoom, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Bettercloud
