The role:

We are looking for an Internal Communications Specialist to own, coordinate and further develop the People Team’s internal communications strategy. Your role will be focused on creating engaging content shared through multiple channels globally to raise awareness of our company strategy and priorities. By telling our story internally, you will help to drive employee engagement, raise awareness of key business priorities and shape our culture.

What will you be doing?

  • Create and develop engaging content, including written material and videos in line with our cultural tone across different internal channels to support all employees globally.
  • Promote People Team initiatives and keep our teams informed about changes and company culture initiatives.
  • Work with our Chief People Officer and the Head of Community & Development on appropriate internal communications strategies that would grow connections between the management and employees, boost employee engagamenet, and maintain a strong sense of culture.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to support them in articulating strategy updates, project updates and success stories across the business.
  • Analyze the performance of our internal communications and drive this further by reviewing the channels, results and actions on the back of campaigns.
  • Create reports and share recommendations for improving communication performance with the Leadership team.

What will you need to succeed?

  • Proven Internal Communications experience in an organization with a significant employee headcount and a diverse audience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (native or near-native) with ability to adapt your tone for the intended audience.
  • Fine tuned cross-cultural communication and collaboration skills, particularly in an international environment.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to solve problems professionally and in a timely manner.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with senior managers and stakeholders, providing professional advice on employee communications, engagement and integration with the culture.
  • Proven discretion and experience dealing with confidential information.
  • Experience managing communications for transformational and organisational change.
  • Experience using data to validate ideas and drive campaigns.
  • Open-minded, solutions-oriented, flexible and a true team player.

Our Vision is for a world where TravelPerk serves as the platform for human connection in-real-life (IRL). We take an IRL-first approach to work, where our team works together in-person 3 days a week. As such, this role requires you to be based within commuting distance of our Birmingham hub.
