As a Human Resources (People) Operations Intern at Navan, you’ll have the opportunity to fly the plane from the start. You’ll solve real, challenging problems from start to finish with the support of a dedicated mentor and manager. You’ll also participate in exclusive leadership lunch & learns, learn from the company in weekly all-hands meetings, and have the opportunity to network with cross-functional teams through our buddy matching program. You’ll have the opportunity to immerse yourself in Navan’s culture through intern and team bonding events, professional development workshops, volunteering activities, and more.

Navan is looking for an intern who will be working with future leaders and top performers. This role will allow you to develop skills and learn a playbook that you can use for the rest of your career. Being an intern at Navan gives you the chance to work in touch with all areas of Human Resources and shape the employees' experience here. 

What You’ll Do:

  • You will be given hands-on, self-driven projects with an opportunity to gain experience in many aspects of human resources
  • Designing and cleaning up our internal knowledge base that enables employees and our teams to be self-sufficient. 
  • Assist in optimizing our ticketing queue for HR-related inquiries
  • Validate current  procedures for relevance and accuracy
  • Gain expertise in global ERP solutions and workforce management tools
  • Opportunity to shadow “days in the life” of a variety of HR team members

 

What We’re Looking For: 

  • This opportunity might appeal to students with majors such as Human Resources, Organizational Behavior, Business Administration, Psychology, Sociology, or Communications
  • Any Degree Level
  • Undergraduates who have completed at least one year of undergraduate coursework at a university who are available to work full-time for the duration of the internship
  • Strong professional oral and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of google suite
  • Strong documentation and organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and discretion
  • Business acumen and ability to translate business needs into metrics
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
  • Currently enrolled in a minimum of a (Bachelor’s) degree program in (Human Resources, Business, Psychology, Sociology) or a related degree
  • Be returning to school in the Fall of 2023 to complete a degree program

 

In-office expectations 3 days a week in our Palo Alto office

The posted pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the compensation for this position and is subject to change based on business need. To determine a successful candidate’s starting pay, we carefully consider a variety of factors, including primary work location, an evaluation of the candidate’s skills and experience, market demands, and internal parity.

For roles with on-target-earnings (OTE), the pay range includes both base salary and target incentive compensation. Target incentive compensation for some roles may include a ramping draw period. Compensation is higher for those who exceed targets. Candidates may receive more information from the recruiter.
