As Group Controller at HSO, you are essential to the company's success. You will be part of the Group Planning and Controlling team, together with various other Group Controllers in the team. The overall Group finance team consists of 7 team members. You will be responsible for specific countries/units, liaising with local finance teams, analysing (monthly) results, discussing variance versus business plan and deep-diving into drivers behind trends, developments and conflicts from the business plan. This is to ensure that HSO Group management stays in control at all times.
Requirements
As a Group Controller, you will
Daily be analysing and overseeing performance and results of various countries/units, creating insights into underlying drivers of variances versus business plans and forecasts, and further coordination and communication to stakeholders.
Be involved in the business planning and forecasting process of your countries/units continuously.
Cooperate, liaise, and discuss developments, performance, results and processes with the local Head of Finance and finance team of countries/units.
Perform process reviews, and provide training and coaching to finance team members in specific areas and for particular tooling.
Participate in quarterly business reviews and assist/support preparing and verifying information reviewed.
Channel information and materials on Group initiatives, tooling and process improvement to the country/unit Finance and Operations team.
Perform ad hoc analyses of progress, results, cost development, margins and headcount versus business plan and benchmarks.
Provide hands-on support for less mature countries or in case of the need to strengthen and support local Finance teams.
Active collaboration and building of relationships with various countries/units and, to an extent, the 'eyes and ears' of Group management concerning certain countries/regions.
When things in the realisation do not go as expected, investigate and analyse further where necessary and actively communicate or escalate.
Collaborate with the other Group Finance and Operations team members to get the information and insights you need on current developments and initiatives.
Supporting role as expert/champion towards the local finance teams concerning strategic Finance and Operations improvement projects; new tooling, new processes, change management and regular liaising and coordination with HSO Group stakeholders.
