Requirements
Job Purpose:
- Responsible for delivering HR operational excellence for the OU in the areas of Talent, Learning and competence development.
- Accountable for delivering on HR KPI’s at requested level.
- Support to the business for all HR matters.
Principal Accountabilities:
- To serve as the primary point of contact for general queries and issues, relating to all HR processes, providing advice in line with policies.
- Responsible for effective coaching and education of line managers and staff on talent development and learning interventions in order to enhance effectiveness of the process within the OU.
- Deliver talent requirements for the OU by implementing resourcing plans, effective roll out of the attraction and recruitment strategy in order to meet recruitment targets; effective use of resourcing tools and forums such as internal resourcing, recruitment agencies, career fairs, structured interviews and coordinating assessment centers and in line with D&I.
- Administer all recruitments in line with the business needs, as well as the trainee management process (including reporting)
- Responsible for administering successful placement and effective on-boarding of new recruits through implementation and monitoring of the group program (including functional on boarding.
- Responsible for management of the CV database - data integration and updating.
- Implement relevant talent development strategies and actions, through effective use the group products relating to competencies and leadership programs, while monitoring the effectiveness of these products.
- Create a learning culture within the OU; responsible for implementation of learning processes and tools, collating learning needs, learning gaps identification, sourcing and implementing learning programs; development, communication and monitoring of learning calendar, monitoring effectiveness and support implementation and use of tools such as Competency frameworks and leadership interventions such as LEAD.
- Manage OU talent reviews including potential assessment, analysis of manpower profiles and development of remedial strategies. Provide all the necessary data for the exercise.
- Accountable for performance management process within the OU: communication, monitoring and coaching to line managers and staff.
- Responsible for data management and related reporting’s; learning delivery, vacancy tracker, leavers/joiners report, SRAs.
- Ensure HR data integrity in SF and act as data focal point for the central support team.
- Manage relationship with external stakeholders such as recruitment agency, university, business school, learning providers, etc.
- Responsible for VECI Young Talent program and other internship, provide all necessary data and remedial strategy.
- Manage temporary staff need (Recruitment/onboarding) for the company and provide necessary advice to the business.
Key Challenges:
- Building professional respect with local staff and management using influence, judgment, and interpersonal skills to achieve objectives, not via executive authority.
- Delivery of all departments people's plans in a timely and effective manner.
- Ensure Talent, Performance and Learning processes and tools are well understood and applied by all staff.
- To maintain HR operational excellence within the OU (First time right principle and SLAs with the business).
Job Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- University degree in Human Resource or Business-related field.
- 3-5 years HR experience.
- Solid prior experience in key HR process areas – recruitment, performance management, learning, potential assessment, and remuneration.
- Knowledge and understanding of local labor markets and employment law regimes within local environment.
- Excellent IT skills with a good understanding of HRMIS.
- Excellent presentation, facilitation, coaching, influencing, and interpersonal relationship are essential.
- Should be fluent in French with good/excellent English.
