Tempo is hiring a Head of SEO to develop a world-class SEO strategy for Tempo’s products, marketing content, and partners. Reporting into the Growth Team, the role will optimize and develop content for all websites and marketplace listings to improve discoverability and the user journey to grow organic traffic and leads.
This role will be responsible for instrumenting successful technical SEO strategies with a focus on site architecture, core vitals, crawlability, and schema optimization. Last, the this role will oversee Tempo’s link-building strategy with a focus on high-authority ‘.com’, ‘.org’, and ‘.edu’ domains.
The Head of SEO will report on weekly keyword and link wins and losses as-well-as overall traffic and lead volume.
The Role
Lead strategy and execution of all SEO programs globally
Define content strategy to improve both SEO and the site user experience
Implement SEO best practices in site architecture, URL structures, on-page ranking factors, image, video, Schema Markup, and content optimization
Achieve performance goals of organic rankings and traffic through onpage content optimization, technical SEO, and offsite link-building
Help create blogs, resources, and product page copy in support of SEO goals
Develop and manage media, partner, and influencer channels to develop link building strategy
Be an SEO subject matter expert including ability to train internal staff and partners best practices
Manage and execute SEO content calendar and and develop projects in collaboration to deliver innovative experiences for our customers
Track and report against these key performance indicators for SEO and content projects
Optimize SERPS, media content, and marketplace Listings for organic discovery
Oversee opportunities for keyword localization
Launch tests to understand impacts of changes
The Ideal Candidate
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Information Technology, Engineering or equivalent experience
Minimum 5 years in technical and on-page SEO experience
Strong background in web analytics, including Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, SEMRush, Tag Manager, Ahrefs, Google Analytics
Expert knowledge of web design technologies, and their SEO implications, including HTML, JavaScript, CSS, AJAX, DNS, robots, etc
Knowledge of interface and data flow between Marketo and SalesForce including cross-object relationships, process builder automation, and governor limits
Strong writer for technical/training documents, best practices, and guidelines
Strong interpersonal, communications and organizational skills
Experience developing HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSON, and/or PHP a plus
