About Metomic

Over the last ten years, SaaS has changed the way we work — for the better. Slack instead of email. Miro instead of sticky notes. Airtable instead of Excel. SaaS is helping tech companies move so much faster, but it’s also introducing a new surface area of risk they’ve never seen before. The risk of leaking sensitive data. As a result, companies are faced with answering the difficult question of how to manage compounding security risks as they grow without introducing more red tape that slows their team down.

At Metomic, we help companies protect sensitive data in SaaS applications like Slack, Google Drive and Zendesk.

Our technology connects to SaaS applications, detects the most critical sensitive data risks, and put automated policies in place to ensure these risks don’t happen again in the future.This liberates tech companies to make full use of their favourite SaaS apps whilst Metomic takes care of all the security risks behind the scenes.

After launching our product in April 2021, we now count some of the world’s most innovative companies as customers, such as Zego, Octopus Energy and Crypto.com. Our traction continues to accelerate and we’re backed by some great investors like Connect (investors in CityMapper, Typeform, Marvel), LocalGlobe (Improbable, Figma, Zego) and RFC (Hopin, Clubhouse, On Deck, etc).

The Role

You will be our first Head of Marketing hire and will own and design our global marketing strategy including product messaging, campaigns, community, content, digital, PR and branding. This is a key hire on the leadership team and you'll be comfortable building the foundations and then scaling our Marketing operations globally.

What you'll be doing

  • Capturing and generating demand. You will ultimately be responsible for generating awareness & interest in Metomic over both short and long term timeframes.
  • You’ll build, lead and develop a growing, creative and global marketing team, ensuring we have the capacity and skills to support our growth objectives, whilst being hands on across marketing activities.
  • Lead the development of our brand strategy and story, ensuring clear product messaging and positioning in the market.
  • Build sustainable and thoughtful strategies to accelerate demand generation and support our growth objectives.
  • Collaborate directly with our Sales and Product teams to identify and target new markets and segments.
  • Measure ROI from marketing initiatives and consistently iterate our approach to deliver inbound leads, demo requests & website traffic.

Requirements

  • A demonstrable & successful track record building pipeline for a SaaS company.
  • A strong understanding of marketing to mid-market and enterprise customers and of the B2B software buying journey.
  • A seasoned, inclusive and passionate people leader with experience managing a small marketing team. You’ll have breadth in your leadership style and know when to be a coach particularly junior members of the team), an amplifier, an unblocker, a sounding board, or to deliver a difficult message.
  • You’ll be unafraid to challenge the status quo, experiment with new channels and ways of working and learn from our performance.
  • Willing to try new approaches and trial different strategies - We’re not always going to get it right the first time.
  • Experience in both the European and US markets.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with our Sales, Product and Customer Success teams.


Our recruitment process

  • Intro Call (30 mins) This will focus on your motivations and interests, your journey to date and some of the experiences you’ve had. You’ll also hear more about Metomic and our Marketing work to date.
  • Marketing Interview - Rich, Co-Founder (30 minutes) This interview will dive deeper into your experience in designing and delivering global marketing strategies, building teams and supporting growth objectives. We want to learn more about your unique skill set and what drives you to succeed.
  • Task Interview (1 hour) This will involve a practical activity.
  • Team Interviews (1-1.5 hours) We also think it’s important you have a chance to meet your potential future teammates to get a broader perspective on life at Metomic.
