Head of Marketing Foodservice - Hybrid - Maternity Cover FTC

JOB PURPOSE/ PRMIARY OBJECTIVE:

Why Does the Job Exist?

  • Work in conjunction with the CMO, the Divisional Leadership Team, Territory Management Teams and the Marketing Leadership Team to build – and deliver upon - the strategic direction of your business portfolio over a 3-5 year time horizon, pulling together all cross functional work-streams into one coherent plan.
  • Work cross functionally and with expert agencies to ensure that this strategy is rooted in Kepak’s strategic intent, evolving consumer needs and trends, key customer strategy and contemporary Best Practise Brand Management Principles,
  • Reports to the Kepak Group CMO
  • Part of the Territory Management Teams with functional leadership for the Marketing Team.

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

INTERNAL

Cross functional leadership to deliver commercial and innovation plans

EXTERNAL

  • Overall responsibility for relationship management with all key marketing agencies.
  • Participation where appropriate in customer relationships to support the sell-in of business strategy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work in conjunction with the CMO, the Divisional Leadership Team, Territory Management Teams and the Marketing Leadership Team to build the strategic direction of your category/portfolio (3-5 year time horizon), ensuring relevance to consumer trends, customer/operator needs and Kepak’s strategic intent.
  • Lead the design, development, and delivery of brand strategies to deliver against the overall business strategy.
  • Lead the development and delivery of the annual brand plan (commercial goals, communications, NPD launches, channel initiatives) and trade communications plans to deliver against the business plan and long-term strategy.
  • Maximize the impact of marketing investment through ensuring excellence in execution and ensuring a robust review process takes place to identify what has worked / not worked and what can be improved in future campaigns
  • Lead the direction and commercialization of the innovation process for your portfolio, delivering on its strategic requirements whilst seeking to maximize Foods Division alignment/synergy
  • Lead the development of a “best practice” and “fit for the future” marketing team and eco-system for your Business Portfolio that will be central driver of Kepak’s strategy.
  • Build a strong and highly motivated team, with clear succession plans to ensure that the marketing eco-system is sustainable into the long term
  • Provide strong cross functional leadership to ensure the wider business is bought into and capable of executing against the Brand and Innovation strategies.
  • Oversee the relationship with all key marketing and insight agencies, ensuring strong top to top and agency wide relationships are cultivated and developed to deliver top class work, value for money and strong returns to Kepak.

Requirements

SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE:

  • Degree level qualification in marketing with a minimum 7 Years’ Marketing experience in a similar position experience in Foodservice /FMCG/Drinks sector desirable
  • Broad experience across online and offline marketing channels.
  • Excellent written & verbal skills with the ability to present at board level and inspire a team.
  • Confidence in effectively leading, inspiring, and mentoring direct and indirect reports.
  • Excellent relationship building skills. Demonstrable experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent Microsoft skills, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
