Growth Marketing Specialist

Backlight is seeking an experienced Growth Marketing Specialist to play a pivotal role in developing revenue-generating programs. The ideal candidate will have experience driving lead generation through various B2B digital channels including email, paid advertising, organic search, direct mail, and partnering with external media vendors. This team member will work closely with a diverse set of marketing professionals and resources in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

What you will do:

  • Manage and execute growth campaigns in conjunction with the senior team across a variety of paid channels. 
  • Understand deeply the lifecycle of customers and identify opportunities for growth and optimization.
  • Compile campaign performance reports and pipeline generation to uncover areas for improvement.
  • Own webinar program by driving attendance, content development and follow up. 
  • Ensure fresh and engaging content is being posted on our social media accounts.
  • Help manage and deploy customer communication. 
  • Work with channel partners to help support aligned initiatives.
  • Set up and optimize landing pages that support initiatives and drive conversion. 
  • Find new and fresh growth bets. 

Your Background:

  • At least 4 years of experience in growth marketing or similar role. Ideally focused on managing and optimizing paid channels. 
  • Ideally have a background in the media and entertainment space. 
  • Have successfully managed and scaled SEM, PPC, organic/paid social and paid search.
  • Have worked with Salesforce and Hubspot or equivalent marketing tools.
  • First-hand experience with email marketing, and get excited about things like subject lines and calls to action. 
  • Proven success working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment where you’ve rolled your sleeves up to make things happen independently. 
  • Have experience in identifying target audiences and devised digital campaigns that engage and convert.
  • Comfortable gathering performance metrics, reporting them, and making recommendations.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with a wide variety of stakeholders.  
  • A hungry, infectious personality: we’re looking for someone determined and able to win in a remote and international environment.
